Probably saved my house from burning down. These guys are like Holmes on Holmes of electrical. They showed me stuff that was a real danger around our house and potential fire hazards, and fixed it fast so it was all compliant. Stuff I had no clue about but could have been a future problem.
Their work is clean (no wires hanging around), and what is most impressive is that they show up when they say they will, which is very refreshing. They are trustworthy, stick to their quotes and very professional. I would absolutely call Churko Electric whenever I need electrical work done again.

Ensure you arrange for electrical inspections by us if you are concerned about your home's electrical system, or if you are doing electrical work . We are licensed electrical contractors .
The electrical current in regular businesses and homes has enough power to cause death by electrocution. Even changing a light bulb without unplugging the lamp can be hazardous because coming in contact with the "hot" or live part of the socket could kill a person.
Always use the correct size fuse. Replacing a fuse with one of a larger size can cause excessive currents in the wiring and possibly start a fire
Be aware that unusually warm or hot outlets may be a sign that unsafe wiring conditions exists. Unplug any cords to these outlets and do not use until one of our qualified electricians has checked the wiring
•Do not use outlets or cords that have exposed wiring.
•Do not use power tools with the guards removed.
Check power cords and plugs often. Discard if worn or damaged. Have any cord that feels more than comfortably warm checked by our electrician.
Do not disconnect power supply by pulling or jerking the cord from the outlet. Pulling the cord causes wear and may cause a shock.
Never change a fuse in the dark - use a flashlight.
Periodically check that plug-type fuses are snug. A loose fuse can overheat. Never replace a fuse with a coin or metal object.
If multiple electrical connections are required use a properly rated power bar only.
Do not use a two pronged extension cord outdoors.
Always use extension cords that are properly rated for the load
Never remove a plug when your hands are wet or when touching a metal object.
Do not break off or bypass the third prong of a plug.
It's there because it's needed for safety reasons.
Did you know?... A ground fault circuit interrupter detects leaking electricity and shuts off power to the circuit, helping prevent a shock or fire. Use one at any outdoor source and anywhere water may be present.
Did You Know? ... On average, about 50% of home energy use is for space heating, 30% for water heating, 15% for lighting, and appliances the remaining 5%.
An old energy-inefficient fridge could cost you up to $85 a year to run.
Turning off lights that aren't being used is a simple and effective way to save energy. It does not require any equipment and the energy savings can be significant.
In Canada - there is an annual average of 111,400 home fires caused by faulty electrical distribution systems, electrical appliances and equipment, and heating and air conditioning systems, taking an average of 860 lives, injuring 3,785 and causing nearly $1.3 billion in property damage.
Electrical systems age and can become overloaded, particularly in older homes. Over the years as more lighting, appliances and equipment are added, the electrical system becomes overburdened and problems can develop.
